A Good Man

People sitting on the streets at night
They may cause some an awful fright
When they are seen alone in shades of dark
For some, TV watched on and on may have left its mark
That people, poor and cold, they must
Exploit every single person’s trust
This is a lie, a great one of today
That we must keep the poor and broken at bay
From our bubble world, so gilded and nice
But so fake, where many are as cold as ice
To others around us, asking for those things
Which will give them relief and comfort bring
And we must question our moral state
And realize the reality, that many will hate
For the things they see as evil and bad
Are nothing but people who tough upbringings had
For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst?
